Fiberreed Carbon G-SAX Alto Saxophone

The Fiberreed G-SAX is part of our Artist Series. We developed this signature reed in collaboration with our longtime endorser, Swiss musician Roland Graf (G-SAX).

The material consists of alternating layers of white hollow fibers and high-modulus carbon fibers. These fibers are predominantly oriented unidirectionally along the length of the reed, mimicking the natural structure of cane. The cellular structure of Arundo Donax is replicated using a foaming epoxy resin. The bubble matrix created through this process is crucial to the acoustic properties of the HFC material.
